About Our Cottage:
The cottage stands 1½ stories tall, and has been fully insulated for optimal temperature control and ease of winterizing. It is approximately 6 years old and sits on a 1¼ acre lot with 153 feet of private shore line to enjoy. The main floor is approximately 1,000sq.ft. and consists of two bedrooms, a 4-piece bathroom, a new kitchen (with island), and a 2 story living area overlooking the river front. The staircase is complete with hand crafted timber railings and leads up to the upper loft area, which provides an additional 500sq.ft. of living space overlooking the great room.
The loft has been finished with new laminate flooring, and has been divided into two large bedroom areas, both of which are equipped with Queen size beds. The floor to ceiling windows in the great room are trimmed with massive elm timbers native to the island. The room also boasts a 25' vaulted ceiling, complete with all day sunshine and a South facing view. A high efficiency wood burning stove also provides ample heating on cooler days. The patio doors provide access to a 1,000sq.ft. living area, which provides plenty of room for a BBQ and outdoor furniture.
